Welcome to Solstice Welsh Cobs!
It was our goal to breed and produce athletic taller
Welsh Cobs and Welsh Cob/Arabian crosses that are suited
for Dressage, the show ring and other performance disciplines
Lynda succeeded beyond our greatest dreams.
In her memory, this website will continue to display some of
her finest accomplishments.

Glenhaven Welsh Margarita

(aka Mar-i pronounced Marree)

Sold to GeGe Parry of Glendora, CA

Margarita (Mar-i)  was our first cob mare, our first cob performance horse / show horse that we, ourselves, owned.  Her dam is the well known multi-national champion Derwen Tequila and her sire is Suzanne Glenn's first Welsh import, Derwen Dashing Duke.  When we moved from CA to FL in 1997, we brought her with us, along with her colt Chivas Regal, Atlanta, and our wonderful Arabian gelding, Habibi Escapade.  Margarita and Atlanta became our foundation breeding mares and most of the cobs we have bred include these two wonderful mares in their ancestry.
