It was our goal to breed and produce athletic
taller
Welsh Cobs and Welsh Cob/Arabian crosses that are suited
for Dressage, the show ring and other performance disciplines
Lynda succeeded beyond our greatest dreams.
In her memory, this website will continue to display some of
her finest accomplishments.
Supreme Champion & Reserve Supreme
at the SWA Gold Show, Oct 2007
Gainesville, GA
We are very pleased, and honored, to report that our
young stallion Solstice Blaque Knight was WPCSA National Reserve Champion Cob
2008 (C/D Stallion) as well as double-Grand Champion and
double-Supreme Champion in full classes at the recent Pony Palooza in
Gainesville, FL
At his two gold shows, one in '06 and one in '07 he has been Supreme
Champion twice and Reserve Supreme once in very good company.
Since last June when he won three Supremes in one weekend, under three
different judges, he has gone on to acquire four more Supreme
Championships.
Blaque Knight also recently won several year-end awards
from the Southern Welsh Association for these events:
Champion
English Pleasure Adult
Champion
Western Pleasure Adult
Champion
In-Hand C/D (fourth year for this one)
Versatility
Award
The "You
Never Outgrow a Welsh" for Hi-Point adult exhibitor
Needless to say, (but going to say it anyway), we feel so
very honored and privileged to be his breeder, his owners, his trainer
and exhibitors of this truly wonderful-in-every-way, Welsh Cob stallion.
... and SO proud to say,
BORN IN THE USA!
Solstice Blaque Knight
June 9th, 2007 - at the Connemara Open &
Welsh Show
Knighty, now a five-year-old, competed in seven classes
to place first in all seven. He was Supreme in-hand, won two HUGE
all-breed Trail classes, and placed first in Western and English pleasure
(only one of each was offered) to become Welsh High-Point.
On June 10th at the All Welsh show, he
was double Supreme (under two judges) in-hand, English Pleasure Champion
and First again in trail. But the fun part was that he made an
unexpected debut in the Hunter Division ridden by Dustin Durham, to
perform wonderfully his very first time on any jump course anywhere.
Much to the
entertainment and delight of the spectators, there was lots of whooping
and hollering and laughter. Dustin, his rider, said while tacking up and
climbing aboard the big black dude, and I quote "WOW, it's like sitting
on a couch!"

The 2 photos above were late summer 2004 between

old
He now measures over 15 hands

(we'll be keeping him around!)
(Pear trees DO taste good!)
Here he is, at 3yrs old, entertaining himself
after breakfast on a beautiful and sunny morning.
After eating he had that certain look in his eye,
and a certain rowdiness about him.
So I went to get the camera and he obliged me
by performing all of his usual antics.
